Baxters was founded by William Baxter in 1911, originally as an insurance brokers and estate agents! Now solely focusing on both general insurance and financial services, Baxters remains owned and run by William Baxter’s grandson, Howard Lee. Today we maintain the core values that helped establish our business over 100 years ago, delivering the highest levels of professionalism, transparency and integrity as part of our service provision, helping to differentiate us from other brokers.
We take great pride in our heritage. Indeed, the longevity of our business, is matched with trading relationships with a number of current clients, dating back over 3 and in some instances, 4 generations.
We fully understand that client relationships remain paramount to our business. As a consequence, we offer a one stop solution to our clients. The same team that arranges cover and manages your insurance programme will also be there to assist and liaise with you in the event of a claim.
All broking staff are members of the Chartered Insurance Institute and over 50% have secured professional qualifications through examination. A number of staff continue with study towards qualification, and all undertake a programme of Continued Professional Development, to ensure we remain able to provide the level of professional advice that our clients have come to expect from us.
We firmly believe that Insurance programmes for our clients should form a three way partnership, with insurers, ourselves and our client at the centre. As a consequence we also strive to build, and maintain excellent trading relationships with our insurer partners. This enables us to combine comprehensive insurance solutions with competitive prices, ensuring we provide our clients with real value.
